The Benefits of a Tankless Water Heater

Everyone has experienced a cold shower in their lifetime at one point or another. It could be that you simply wanted one, which is rarely the case or it could be that your water heater just ran out of hot water before you finished your shower. If you live in a house with women then you know that getting a shower before them usually determines whether or not you get enough hot water to finish your shower, so you struggle to get in the bathroom before they do and if you don’t, well then you are left in the cold.

Most gas water heaters or electric water heaters do not have the capacity to heat enough water for more than two short showers to be taken back to back, and if you are running the washer or dishwasher during this time your time limit for the hot shower is much shorter.

A tankless water heater will offer an endless supply of hot water, so you never have to worry about running out again. Tankless hot water heaters are designed to heat the water as you need it, so when you turn that faucet to hot it tells the system to begin working and it will not quit until you turn it off.

Gas water heaters and electric water heaters take up a large amount of space in your home whereas a tankless hot water heater takes up only a small area on your wall, no bigger than a meter. Another benefit of not having a tank water heater is, not having to deal with the problems that come along with them, such as corrosion, rusting and leaks.

Tankless water heaters may be a larger expense than purchasing a traditional water heater but in the long run they are designed to save you money. Since water is heated as it is needed there is no wasted hot water where your electric water heater or gas water heater would constantly have to reheat the stored water in its tank to keep it ready for when you needed it. Using a tankless water heater can reduce your water heating costs by up to 60%.

Your tankless water heater can last you for as long as twice the amount of time that your conventional water heaters can. An electric water heater or gas electric heater generally lasts for 6 to 12 years whereas your tankless water heater will last for up to 20 years.
